What is the y-intercept of a line with the equation (y - 3) = 5(x + 2)? is it 2, 5, 13?

Y+3=5(x-2) y= 5x -10 -3=5x-13. Equate this to y=m x+c, m is the slope. You see the slope in the above equation is 5.
