I could NEVER kill a person. For whatever reason. The value of human life is immeasurable.
This makes me think of The Dark Knight, where two boats (?) full of people had the choice of blowing up the other lot of people in order to save themselves. In the end, no one did.
Only if the person themselves willingly jumped in front of the train to save the 100 people, would it be morally 'right'. It was their own choice. No matter how guilty one of the survivors may feel, it was ultimately down to that person's selflessness.
I think Samantha has answered it too correctly. I agree with her. Well it is really difficult to really push someone to save others.
I am not sure of figuring out another way instantly but there could always be ways to get out of such situation. After all who are we to decide the life of others.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
