What jobs or careers have the most gay women in them and the least number of straight people The thought of being approached by the opposite sex makes me sick to my stomach?

It isn't a matter of what jobs or careers there are for gay women, but, if the woman in question will fight for her rights and not have a bad attitude. It is true that there is a 'glass ceiling' in some companies, but not all! 47% of gay women who work at larger companies are more likely to tell a female boss they are gay; but only 21% of gay women will tell a male boss.

While it's certain that gay women can have a more difficult time in the workplace if they are open about their sexuality there are laws to protect them. In many cases gay women will stand back rather than apply for a position in the company because they feel they will not get the job. A gay woman should stand straight and proud and go for the position and in many cases, if the company is worth their salt, they will see brains instead of the sexual preference of the person.

If a gay woman does not get the position they shouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's because they are gay, but a high possibility they didn't have the qualifications. Get use to the fact you will probably have to work with males and not all males are sexist! For those that are, ignore them because you know where you want to go in the company and could very possibly bypass these males.

Also a good outlook on life and getting that chip off your shoulder and working on a more out going personality will work wonders and help make those who find working with a gay woman difficult suddenly see a great personality and forget the woman is even gay. Some men will 'hit' on some women and even straight women don't care for this action and if a man is forceful and is bothering you in any way it's called 'sexual harassment' whether you are gay or straight! Here are some good links to read (from the UK) but still affects gays in other parts of the world. It is simply a 'cop out' for a gay woman to stop trying in her position in the workplace or, climbing the corporate ladder because there are many gay women that fought for your rights as an individual and have helped soften somewhat the blow of gay women having to hide in the closet.

Fight for what you want and a bad attitude doesn't go very far and if one looks back on history to the present there are many outstanding gay women with good careers.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
