What kind of poems do you like to read? why?

I like short poems that have a nice rhythm to them and uses vocabulary that just rolls off the tongue and seem beautiful to me.

I love lyrical poetry Tong twisters Word play Painting pictures with words With twists and turnsexotic, eroticand what ever and then again I also like sufi poetry (rumi, hafez)stuff that is hard to understand some times and deeply spiritualand understanding it takes contemplation meditation and walking its path.

I do not like poetry, I do not read it unless there is a personal connection or motivation aside from it being poetry.

I want to read a poem that has a soul of it's own. I do not care about the form rhythm or style. A poem whose words when read becomes alive and can draw out the intense emotions and feelings I never knew I had deep inside me.

I enjoy poems that have meaningful imagery and seem to be about everyday things. Yet on a additional reads, the images and language magically morph into something more than the words on the page. Also, I like poems that sound lovely when they are read out loud.

I'd rather hear a poem with my eyes closed than read it silently in my head. I read and re-read my favorite poems just to hear the sounds the words make.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
