Incoming freshmen who apply into USC are evaluated on the content, rigor of their high school course work, their grades, standardized test scores, activity summary, essay, short answers and recommendations from their counselor or teachers. There are no absolute or minimum for grades, rank in classes or test scores. USC are interested in the interplay of the above-mentioned element as well as the personal accomplishment and potential for success.
The fundamental expectation of each student at USC is that he or she has completed a rigorous high school curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, foreign language and arts. They realize that individual talents, circumstances and opportunities greatly differs so there is no specific prescribed curriculum required. But they expect prospective students strive hard to be able to get a high academic performance in secondary class.
