As a former business consultant, I can tell you that this is a perspective question that is impossible for someone else to answer for you. Instead, there are a certian number of questions that you have to ask yourself first: 1. What type of business would I enjoy working in?2.
What kind of business would be able to give me the balance that I need between work and off time? 3. What type of business is going to keep me satisfied for 10 years?
For 20 years? For 30 years?4. Which is more important to me - guaranteed income or the potential to make a lot more?5.
How much risk am I willing to take? These are answers that you have to answer for yourself before looking into entrepreneurship. Now, about startup businesses, I would not suggest that a young person invest in startups - unless it is your own.
I am also of a firm belief that people should have college business courses under their bests before even trying a business (but that is just me). Remember that MOST companies fail very early on. Your money is worth more than the risk that will be found with most startup companies.
I should refer you to the two TV shows - "Shark Tank" in the US and "Dragon's Den" in Canada. On both shows, five ultra-rich investors hear from people with startup companies that need a partner or investment and decide if they are worth their money. There are thousands that apply for these shows.
Dozens are heard from each season, but only a handful get deals due to the fact that most startup business are not worth a dime of time. As for you last question, entrepreneurship usually requires long hours in the beginning. If you want to be good at anything - it does not matter if it is business or basketball - you have to bust your rear for a long time before you get to where you want to be.
There are some - not many - that figure out quickly how to work smarter instead of working harder. These people are not skimping or doing poor work. They have just figured out how to get the most for the least.
Figure that one out of a thousand fall into this category.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
