What kinds of strategies can I use to establish myself as an expert in certain topic areas here at Mahalo?

I used to focus on the area in which I know the best and have the expertise. 2ndly, I always try to write in correct English and correct spelling.3rd: I used to write in short, 4th: I used to avoid copy and paste.

First of all, I think you may be overthinking this one just a bit. I understand that there is a difference between being an expert in a filed and establishing ones self as an expert within a particular field, but I don't really see the benefit of establishing yourself as an expert on Mahalo about a particular topic. With that being said, there are still topics out there that each of us knows more about or at least has an interest in.

One thing that you can do is set up your personal feed to reflect the subjects that you are more interested in and know more about. On your profile, you can add topics of interest, and then the "my feed" tab shows questions that are asked within that area. By asking and answering questions within each of those topics, you are working to establish yourself as an expert within a certain area and also sharing your personal knowledge with the community.

I believe that we are all experts about something, whether it be parenting, relationships, or coupons, there is always something that each of us can contribute to Mahalo. You can also set up your RSS feed on Google reader to be alerted to new questions that are asked on Mahalo,. Simply try to focus on answering the questions that you know the most about or have the most interest in.

Every now and then, I will try to answer a question that I am interested in learning more about simply because it gives me the opportunity to read more and learn more about something of interest. However, these are typically not my best answers. I also don't tend to fare too well with the opinionated questions, since it really boils down to the luck of the draw.

If you are looking for more questions to answer within a certain topic area, explore the unanswered questions as well to find something that you may know something about that has not received an answer yet. Also, when answering questions that you know a lot about, share more of your personal experience and credentials about that particular topic so that people are aware of your real life experiences about something. A good example of this has been @keepontryin and @buddawiggi in their personal discussions about their experiences with drugs and alcohol as well as recovery.

Another example is @buddawiggi's experience with real estate, since this is what he does for a living outside of Mahalo. @garyallen has also shared a great deal here about physical therapy and disability. @easyeboy participates in a lot of questions and discussions about social networking, internet, and technology.

@cosmopinkice picks a lot of questions pertaining to crafts and health. There are plenty of other examples here, and the list is never ending, but it all boils down to answering questions in the areas that you have the most interest and experience.

I used to focus on the area in which I know the best and have the expertise. 2ndly, I always try to write in correct English and correct spelling. 3rd: I used to write in short, 4th: I used to avoid copy and paste.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
