OnyX. It does just enough. http://www.titanium.free.fr/download.php... OnyX has options to delete log files, .
DS_Store files, and cache files. Most "cleaners" mess things up by removing perfectly good files that you want to keep. No cleaner can tell if you still want to keep an old download from last year.
That's up to you to decide. There is very little maintenance needed. The file system automatically defrags on the fly.
There is no registry to get out of whack. The whole system is made to run without any attention for years. It is rare for any Mac system to get malware.
Usually what Mac users call a "virus" is just adware that does not damage any OS X installed files, and can be nixed by resetting Safari or by running these two script apps: http://www.adwaremedic.com/AdwareMedic.d... http://www.thesafemac.com/downloads/TSMA... You can run "Repair Disk" and "Repair Disk Permissions" in Disk Utility once every 1,000 hours of use (about once every 3-4 month for most folks). In most cases, that will show "...appears to be OK", so that means everything is just fine. Almost always, when anyone complains that their Mac is getting slow, the cause is either they have never repaired with Disk Utility or the drive is simply full.
Time to buy an external drive to store some junk. 0-0.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
