California weather isn't helping wildfires which are being fought in several areas. One near Santa Cruz exploded Wednesday night and is forcing the evacuation of over a thousand people. Firefighters are mobilizing to fight the blaze that's whipping through the area of the Santa Cruz mountains.
Flames lit up the sky Wednesday night as winds caused the fire to quickly spread. The terrain is so rugged there that the best line of attack is from the air. On the ground firefighters are playing defense trying to build a buffer.
