What model of the Camaro was used in the movie Transformers?

In the beginning of the first Transformers film, a 1976 Camaro was used when Sam goes to the car dealer to buy his car. Later, when Mikaela comments that the Camaro is a piece of junk, it transforms itself to a 2010 Camaro. In 2009, a Transformers Special Edition appearance package was announced for the 2010 Camaro.

This could be applied to the LL or SS Camaros. It may also come with the RS package and could only be applied to the yellow color schemes. The package comes with an Autobot shield badge on the driver and passenger side panels under the Camaro nameplate.

There were also Transformers logos replacing the original “Camaro� Plates. The production for these special editions has since ceased, but you can still order parts from GM authorized accessory dealers.
