By All Means 'The Expendables' will Blow Far Beyond the Small Movies.
I think "Eat Pray Love" will gross more in its opening weekend. It is a movie that deals with an incident that is so common in the life of different persons. The plot summery of the movie tells us that.
€œLiz Gilbert (Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having - a husband, a house, a successful career - yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.
€ It can happen to any one's life in any stages of his life. People always like to see the incidents of their life to be pictured.
Although I am sure "Eat, Love, Pray" will be a moving and inspirational movie, I would have to give my vote to the action film ''The Expendables'' for two reasons: star power and movie statistics. If you take a look at the top 10 movies on the All-Time Worldwide Box office list, you have the following: "Avatar", "Titanic", "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Dark Knight", "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". It is clear that movies with action /adventure statistically earn more at the box office, and ''The Expendables'' surely fits in that category.
Another factor is star power. Although Julia Roberts (the star of ''Eat,Pray,Love") is an A-list star, she is up against several action movie legends and other notable action stars. ''The Expendables'' has Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis.
The number of stars alone will probably bring in substantial earnings. As a side note, I noticed the YouTube trailer views for each movie: "Eat, Pray, Love": 1,042,497; ''The Expendables'':7,551,944.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
