I would suggest University of North Carolina - probably Chapel NOT NC State.

I know NC State is huge, but so is Carolina. Why not NC state? Do you know anything about Wake Forest?

In state residents love NC State but in reality the level of education is not the best and graduates are not getting jobs. It has nothing to do with size. Amherst College in New England is not a huge college but it is an excellent college.

University of North Carolina has a very strong science program - you usually find a good bio program at any good med school. admissions.unc.edu/Academics/Majors/Indi... html.

We are hoping to send our daughter to a small to medium-sized school, hopefully not more than 5-6 hours away, simply because we think this is best for her personality. Her grandmother went to Carolina, though, & we are fans. Thanks for the reply & info - you have made some excellent points.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
