In my experience, Costco pharmacies have relatively low prices for cash payers. I am not sure if they accept flex payment cards. I would assume they would.
I do know that most chain pharmacies accept this free discount card which has saved me a lot of money -especially on generics- at CVS and Costco- MedicationCoupons.com/card.
Personaly, I would be very cautious of on-line pharmacies. Over the last several years many of these have been shut down for selling counterfit drugs. If you are going to such services, thoroughly check them out first. An easy way is google the name followed by ', complaints, or , scam'.
Ask the pharmacy how long they have been in business. Check with their local BBB, Ask where company headquarters are; Virgin Islands? Your dealing with medications that affect your whole bosy; the ultimate lowest price should not be the deciding factor.
If you are using a brand name product, ask your doctor for samples or coupons. Check with the manufacturer if they have any special enrollment programs. Is a generic available, or is there a similar drug that gets the same end result for less money. Each company is different in their handling of Healthcare Spending Account funds.
A lot of inter-net companies do not carry over-the-counter medications. Your local pharmacy, chain or independant, can be a very valuable resource and will care about your personal needs; let them know you are short on funds and are interested in ways in saving money. Sometimes your cost can be ahlved simply by breaking a higher strenght tablet in half (not to be done with extended release medications).
