What other jobs pay well for foreigners in the UAE apart from English Language Teaching?

Language related jobs are usually among the lowest paying unless you have the skill s to be a translator. Most of the retail staff at my local book store/starbucks have BA's in English Lit, Journalism and Law. The guys at the grocery store are History Majors.

I was an English Major, but I switched to accounting because I wanted a house, a car, vacations and nice clothes. Oh yes...a regular 9-5 work schedule, I forgot about that. So...you love English and you love to read books and you really want to be an English Major... so...go ahead.. but make sure you know how to make coffee....

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
