What preparations are you making to prepare for a predicted global disaster in 2012?

First of all, preparing for an event predicted on 12/21/2012 assumes I will be alive on that date. An assumption of that type can be very misleading. If I die tomorrow - preparing to have all that time between now and 12/21/2012 deceives me (or anyone) into the belief that they have more time.

I try to live every day as if it were my last; keep my spiritual house in order (so-to-speak) and carry on living my life to the fullest - which I believe is my responsibility.

I'm stocking up on water, non-perishable food, and ammo. If a solar flare (or some other event) doesn't occur in late 2012, the economy may easily collapse in the next decade or so.

Anarchy would be such a shame. As the saying goes, "Prepare for the worst; hope for the best.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
