The same an an unmarried legal citizen. None, without some sort of court decision.

Is it possible for him to go to court and find some liberal judge to in force visitation or custody. After all he is the father. Also, his is listed as the father, but does not have his last name.

Does it matter? Mickey65 5 months ago .

Well, heres the deal. First of all, a judge being liberal or conservative makes no difference in the law. And you cannot "find" a judge, or select one.

Judges are randomly selected. Second, your childs name has no meaning bearing on this. Nor, for that matter, does his being "listed" aas father.

If it is his child, the rest is a moot point. That being said, if he pays custody, he has the right to visitation. S legal status doesn't have any bearing on that.

What does matter is that you two are not married. That means that you have sole custody of the child. Since he is in the country illegally, I think it highly unlikely that he would pursue a court hearing on this.

Now, I have to say this. No matter what has happened between you two, he is still the childs father. You owe it to the child to not allow you personal feelings about his dad to prevent him from knowing his father.

That is not fair to the child. I think it would be nice if you let his dad see him - at your home, while you are there. Do not use your child as a weapon in your personal life.

You will regret it later.

Thanks so much for information, I really do appreciate it. But for argument sake this is not about MY child, this about my grandchild. My daughter and her ex, well they are just that, EX's.

The father does come to see the baby when it is convenient for him. He does not pay any support, or for diapers for that matter. He does seem to think that he can show up when he pleases and ask to take the baby to his parents house.

This is not going to happen either due to the rif-raf that not only he hangs with, but who hang there as well. He has been told this, and knows exactly where my husband and I stand on this issue. We will not buge!

He expressed his anger to my daughter when his name was not given to the baby. It has remained an issue for him ever since. This is why I believe he does not want to help.

This is fine by me and my husband. More ammunition for us as far as I'm concerned. I am just wanting to have all my ducks on a row,and hope to protect my daughter and grand baby the best I can.

Not looking for any surprises, you know. Also, my daughter, while an adult, is learning impaired with a disability. Which is why my guard is always up.

With this in mind, before the pregnancy developed, I had been seriously considering applying for a 'legal guardianship' for her to protect her. Because of the child, would a guardianship still be warranted? Thanks for the input Mickey65 5 months ago .

I am a uk citizen, unwed to greencard holder father. What rights does he have if I want to go back to uk with baby.

My parents have custody of my kids. Now my step father says I have no rights or say in their life. Is this true?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
