What scoring rubrics are used to score the essays?

Prentice Hall has developed a holistic rubric for each essay mode (expository, persuasive, and so on) posted on our site—and a standard rubric for analytic scoring. Our rubrics draw on careful research into scoring standards employed in statewide writing assessments all over the country. The goal is to assess student writing in ways that parallel standardized writing assessments.
