What should I do about my living situation? I have to live with my dad and my previously abusive stepmother.?

My circumstances are not exactly like yours, but I do have some similarities. I am the only child in a large family that lives a great distance from home. I never held a place of importance in the family unit, and nothing has changed.

I understand the concept of being totally alone. You are an adult, and may I add, a well educated one. You have come to a place where you no longer need to be accepted by your family, unless you decide you need to be.

You are free to build a family of your own, biologically or not. I made the choice to build my own. I can not lie, there are times when I feel the rejection of the past, but I deal with it quickly and remind myself of who I am now and I no longer need (NEED) my family's approval or companionship.

Sometimes, as in my case, families just cause pain. The only hope you have is God and moving on.

And I think you should have a heart to heart talk with your dad! Take him out to dinner or something and have some quality bonding time! Talk to him and tell him how you feel and how hard life is with your step mother!

And your step mother seems llike suchh a *****! Hahah! I can tell your about to or are gonna reach your breaking point.

So just stay sttrong! And I would reach out to your sisters! There family right?

Or even reach out to a grandmother, cousin ,aunt, uncle? Somebody that you can talk to an d that you can trust1 and I f I was you I would have already slapped your step mom in the face! Like seriously?

Ughh she seems soo rude and just UGHH! And for talking to your sisters.. go and hang out with them go shopping or dinner and try to do tht weekly! Get to know them alot better!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
