What should I know about the alarms on my continuous glucose monitor?

All CGM systems have threshold alarms. Beyond that there are some important differences. Can you choose different thresholds for different times of the day, or are you stuck with one setting 24-7?

Do you have rate of change alarms? Can you chose the rate, or are you limited to factory defaults? Advanced alarm options - Some systems have predictive alarms.

Hands-down, this is the single most desirable CGM feature, but still has to be balanced by considering all the other features you need or want. Lack of predictive alarms is not necessarily a deal killer.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
