Mona Loa is not on a plate boundary. It's over a geological hot spot, that comes up through the crust at that spot. If you look at a map, you can trace the movement of the Pacific Plate over that particular hot spot by tracing the Hawaiian Island chain.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
