I presently have a "Summer 1950 Selections" Reader's Digest Condensed Books. The stories featured are THE WOODEN HORSE", "HOME TOWN", "VISIBILITY UNLIMITED", AND "THE WAY WEST My late Aunt Nellie Lorentzen supposedly had a complete collections from 1950 until she passed away in 2004. Mom says there are a couple missing but she believes they are in the 60's, not the earliest editions.
I would love to know if we have the very first volumne printed in the US! It reads that it is in fact a First Edition, but many of the Reader's Digest condensed books are First Editions. Kathy F.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
