I don't necessarily plan to publish, but I definitely hope to do so. I'd love to publish my work as soon as I possibly can, but I know that that isn't always possible. I hope I'll still be writing ten years down the track, but who knows where my life takes me.
I might not even still be alive in ten years' time (yes, I really am that morbid). BQ: I don't really, "prefer" a genre. Every full-length novel I've written to date as been a different genre.
Horror Thriller-Fantasy Realistic Fiction with a bit of thriller mixed in And now I'm writing a Dark Fantasy BQ2: Maybe I'll have finally moved onto Historical Fiction.
I do hope to be published someday, but as of right now, I write for myself. I don't let other people read my stories unless they specifically asked me if they could. I'd probably wait at least ten years before thinking about being published, since it would give me time to improve.
When I look back at stories I wrote one or two years ago, I see how much they sucked and I'll probably feel the same way about my current stories when I read them two years from now. BQ: I don't think so. By then, I would probably have switched to something new.
BQ2: Poetry? Just a guess.
