Sir. Charles Baskerville died supposedly at the hand of the hound of the Baskervilles. Before death, he, as he usually did, was walking down an avenue of trees where he stopped at the gates leading out toward the moor to have a smoke.
After several minutes, he started running, oddly away from the safety of the mansion and toward the end of the avenue where not far from the end his body was found. He seemed to have died from exhaustion. A few feet away were the prints of an enormous dog.
