What will happen to Scottish UK passport holders,if Scotland goes independent?

You should ignore Blinky, just because hes lieing, its as simple as that. The UK Government do not own the oil fields, his first lie they sold the rights to BP. Then he has shown a complete disregard for International law.

Every state with maritime borders is entitled to the resources within them and the oil falls within Scotland's borders, you can't argue with International law i'm afraid. Its quite simple, Sudan owned the oil rights, what happened when South Sudan broke away? Sudan was left with no oil and the South claimed all the oil under international law even though South Sudan didn't exist when the oil was discovered.

Explain that one Blinky, how does a country that didn't exist now own the oil rights to Sudans oil? Or is Scotland exempt from International law? Scotland will be entitled to a share of all UK assets, do you know why?

Because they are Scotland's assets to, that goes for a percentage of everything, from MI5 to naval ships to bases to the bank of England. Now some things simply can't be carted over the borders so that's were negotiations will take place, if a yes vote is won. Scotland already is separate from the rUK in many ways, we have a separate NHS, Education, transport etc all paid for by scotland, so not much will need to change, we will create our own levels of Government from immigration to defence, which will create jobs in Scotland and give the private sector a much needed injection.

I would give a better answer but your grammar is atrocious and I do not understand the final part of your question Martin, I really don't get why you people don't understand this, the NHS in Scotland is already a separate entity from the one in England & Wales, that's why its called NHS Scotland. The only thing in common is the name which the only reason to change would to correct people like yourself at a cost of billions. Robert, you like a broken record aren't you Lets see now: 1 - Scotland has no banks so how can it owe anybody money?

Are you referring to a British bank maybe? 2 - Its a rare year when Scotland doesn't raise more than it spends, compared to England, when was the last year England was Surplus, isn't nearly 20 years ago? Where does England get its revenue from?

Its you who forgets England receives more from Westminster EVERY year than it gives back. Why do you never mention this Fact How about you tell us about Scotland's military underspend and how Westminster borrows money against Scotland's name to fund Army bases in England? Why do you never talk of things like this?

No doubt Robert will come back with some ridiculous reply that doesn't address the points or even make sense in the real world. Only his fantasy world were the Empire rules supreme Edit:I think we can all agree Roberts reply to me has nothing to do with Scottish Independence or how it will affect Scotland, but in fact a personal attack on the career choices of people, why has he avoided the FACT Westminster gives England more money to spend than it raises in taxation and has been for nearly two decades. Is the Office of National Statistics no longer a reliable source?

Does that mean when Robert quotes them his Information is not reliable? Only thing missing from Roberts rhetoric is the Benny Hill Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvg...

Scotland would be recognised as a sovereign state. It's flag would be St. Andrew's Cross The Saltire. It's seat of government would be based in the capital Edinburgh and this government would have control over all Scottish affairs and would not fall under the umbrella of Westminster.

Scotland would elect a president as their head of state. A Prime Minister would be elected for Scotland. Scottish Border Control points would have to be set up on roads linking Scotland with the UK.

The British Army would be abolished in Scotland, a Scottish Army would be set up and all British Army Bases in Scotland would be replaced with Scottish Army Bases, all British Army equipment in Scotland would be acquired by the Scottish Army. The British Pound Sterling would be replaced with a new currency called the Scottish Pound, coins will be minted and notes printed at a new Central Bank of Scotland, the Bank of England will no longer have power in Scotland. All British Oil Reserves in the North Sea will be acquired by Scotland and will become exclusively Scottish Oil Reserves that will benefit the economy of Scotland exclusively.

The NHS in Scotland would be replaced by a new Scottish Health Service (SHS). The BBC in Scotland will be replaced with a new public service broadcaster called the SBC (Scottish Broadcasting Corporation), and it will use the current BBC facilities in Scotland, there will be two channels SBC1 and SBC2, BBC will cease to be available in Scotland, but only on a subscription basis. STV in Scotland will become completely independent of the British ITV.

Channel 4 and Channel 5 will remain available in Scotland. Sky tv will set up a new division for Scotland similar to Sky Ireland which will be called Sky Scotland. All British road signs will be replaced with Scottish road signs.

M roads will be renamed H roads for Highway, A roads will be P roads for Primary roads and B roads will become S roads for Secondary roads. The British national anthem will be abolished in Scotland and replaced with a Scottish national anthem. All British companies will have to leave Scotland because they will not be registered to operate in this new state.

New indigenous Scottish companies will be developed and attempts will be made to attract multinational and most probably the same British companies that were already in Scotland into Scotland.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
