What will it take to stop the Japanese from whaling completely?

It needs the subsidies because its not a commercial harvest. They don't kill enough whales to make a profit. They take enough to do their research and sell the meat to help recover their costs.

What Japan needs is a true commercial whaling industry. The whales they kill are not endangered and the number of whales they take is not enough to harm the population. It's a sustainable harvest.

Donating to the sea shepherd conservation society won't do anything to end whaling. Anybody who follows their actions will end up supporting the whalers, or the Canadian seal hunters or whoever they are targeting. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
