In The United States of America............................. The woman has the right to decide for herself what the appropriate thing to do is.....and for a thinking woman--there are a lot of things to give thought to. If the husband or boyfriend are good caring individuals...have jobs and could raise the child---perhaps having the baby and giving up rights to the baby would work for a woman. If the father or boyfriend has no future--I could see a person questioning "what to do".

If your in a foreign country---then the mother may not have the right to choose anyway.... Hard questions for people that make the mistake of getting pregnant when they do not want to have babys. No one really easily wins on this subject. Best bet---Don't let unplanned pregnancy happen to you------whether your a man or a woman.

Mom's rights are the only rights that count - it's her body.

1 Depends on the state and which judge you'd appear before.

2 There are some lawyers who will fight for the man to have his rights not taken away. Ya know, I tend to lean towards letting the man have a say as well. I mean, yeah, its her body but what if he doesn't want the baby..or what if he does?

They both did it..they both should have a say.

3 As Spatzie says, there are a lot of circumstances, but as I understand the law under Roe the decision is a private choice and gives no special rights to the father, at least through the second trimester (and assuming she's an adult). That is, the decision is about her body; it's her uterus we're talking about. If the father could gestate the baby the law might be different, but through the second trimester, the fetus has no claim on that space in the uterus.

Things get even more complicated after the second trimester, and many states forbid abortion entirely after that except in extreme cases. But I'm arguing from a national perspective. The actual state laws are a patchwork, and it wouldn't at all surprise me that some states have laws that differ, and are waiting to become test cases.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
