GIRLS - My favorites are Andromeda, Arwen, Eowyn (YAY Lord of the Rings! =D), Echo, Elora, LUNA! , and Serenity.
My least favorites are Bellatrix, Drusilla, and Narcissa. BOYS - My favorites are Draco, Wesley, and West. (I love Artemis, but it's the name of a goddess and I just can't see it on a boy.
Avery is very cute but I know a girl named Avery so I can't see that one on a boy either.) My least favorites are Atticus, Dashiell, Lucian, and Misha. BQ2: Do you consider any of these names usable? GIRLS - I find Elowen, Echo, Elora, Serenity, Melora, and Luna usable :) I actually have an adorable little cousin named Echo, and it suits her perfectly.
BOYS - I find Sylar, Wesley, and West usable :) Atticus, Castiel, Dashiell, and Lucian might be usable as middle names. Aubrey and Avery I find usable on girls, but that may just be me. D.
Bellatrix Avalon Serenity Luna Pandora Elowen Castiel Aubrey Lucian Draco Artemis West Bel, Wren, Dora, Cas, Luc & Art :) BQ: My favourites are Lucian & Bellatrix, least faves are Ginger & Dashiell. BQ2: I'd consider Avalon, Elora, Elowen, Luna, Melora, Serenity, Trinity, Artemis, Atticus, Aubrey, Avery, Castiel, Dashiell & Lucian usable. I'd personally consider using Avalon, Elowen, Luna, Serenity, Castiel & Lucian.
:).
I don't think all of these are unusable...I think some of them are a lot nicer than most names you see on baby girls these days! Athena: Beautiful and powerful...I think it would be very usable as a middle name. Theodora: Beautiful, strong, sophisticated, and has cute nicknames (Teddie, Theo, Dora)...I don't think this needs to stay a guilty pleasure...I think it would be a great choice!
Kaia: Strong and pretty, but not very sophisticated...OK as a GP. Hermione: Beautiful and elegant, but very associated with the Harry Potter character...would work fine as a middle. Nellie: Very cute, but a bit nicknamy...I'd actually love it as a nickname for Helen, Helena, Eleanor, or Penelope.
Hera: Very strong and smart-sounding, but I kind of don't like how Hera was always getting cheated on with mortal women and nymphs and such, and smiting them instead of her promiscuous hubby. Probably best as a GP...maybe a middle name, but not a first. Odette: Very French and swanlike...could be usable as a first name, and definitely would be as a middle.
Jordyn: Kinda trashy and boyish-sounding, and I don't like the Y at all...definitely keep this one as a GP! Sybil: I like this one...it's quirky, elegant, dark, old-fashioned...would make a great middle name. Elsie: Cute but nicknamy...would make a nice nickname for Elizabeth or maybe Eleanor.
Thalia: Reminds me of the Greek muse...could be a nice first name, and would definitely make a nice middle.
Athena - Not keen on it. Theodora 'Thea' - I like Thea, I have a cousin called that. Kaia - I'd prefer it if it was pronounced (Kai-ah) Hermione - Never been fond of this.
Nellie - It's not awful but I don't like it. Hera - I don't this at all. Odette - Nor this.
Jordyn - I prefer the spelling Jordan. Sybil - Don't like it. Elsie - My grandmother's name, I love it.
If I have a daughter, I'm going to name her Elsa after her. Thalia - Sounds pretty.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
