Huff's broadcast journalism career began in Greenville, N.C. , in 1984 where she anchored the 6 p.m. And 11 p.m. Newscasts at WNCT-TV.In 1986, she joined WLNE-TV in Providence, R.I. , as a general assignment reporter.
She assumed the same role at WFSB-TV in Hartford, Conn. , in 1989. All three stations were CBS affiliates.

A 1980 graduate of Waltham Huff received her B.S.In Business Communications from Bentley College and attended Emerson College’s graduate program in Broadcast Journalism.
Huff donates considerable time to non-profit organizations including the March of Dimes, Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts, Kennedy Donovan Center and Horace Mann Educational Associates. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her work with area charities. She is married to U.S. Senator-Elect Scott Brown and has two daughters, Ayla, a well-known singer since her participation on the popular television program "American Idol", and Arianna, a pre-med student.
They make their home in Wrentham.
