He was Super Weasel, and he tried to protect his town from toxic polluters. He had a boxing glove contraption that hit you in the face when you entered his bedroom. He also had an annoying little sister, as do all boy geniuses.
There was a TV movie and three or four books, but then he just disappeared and I got older and found out about all the other books out there. Just wondering... Asked by notcraig 54 months ago Similar questions: happened Alvin Fernald boy genius grade school kids read books Lifestyle > Beauty.

The writer retired twenty years ago I read a couple of those books when I was in school and really liked them. Alvin's Secret Code was my favorite. The books are still in print and my favorite was just reissued last year:amazon.com/Alvins-Secret-Code-Panel-Myst... yes, they're still being read though there's no sign of any new ones on the horizon.

Alvin is still out there! I work for a large public library system, and our Alvin books are still circulating! Kids will always love fun and funny books.
There are several paperbacks still available from Amazon in this series as well. Wikipedia says that Clifford B. The author, has retired to North Carolina and loves to hear from folks.

Here is a great link for info. On the series- There is a great website at-alvinfernald.com/The Alvin Fernald Series, by Clifford was published 1960 -1986. Alvin, often controlled by his "Magnificent Brain", tried many roles - Great Inventor, Secret Agent, Cryptographer, TV Anchorman, Pollution Fighter and Master Disguiser.
He even was named Mayor of his home town, Riverton, Indiana, for one day! Alvin was joined in all of his adventures by his best friend, Shoie Shoemaker (the Mightiest Athlete in Roosevelt School) and his little sister, The Pest (who always seemed to get Alvin out of whatever trouble the Magnificent Brain got him into! ).
The site mentions that the books are coming back into print, available fromhttp://www.purplehousepress.com/I worked at a public library in a large city and never had a child ask for the books, although similar series- Henry Reed, Encyclopedia Brown, and The Great Brain, were requested. Now that the books are back in print, this may change. Thanks for your question!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
