My daughter will be turning 2 this February and we had her a huge birthday birthday last year that was even more than $450 and it was worth every single penny. I agree, we have pictures to show her and she had a blast! So, I think it is very rude for someone to say that it is insane to spend that kind of money.
Personally, I loving throwing parties and like you said birthdays are a very special occassion! I think you should rent the bounce house at your local party place but if your daughter really likes to play in it you could buy it for her birthday and use it during the summer for her to play in and future birthday parties. So, it would be worth the investment!
I found a really cute Princess one at Sam's and I posted the link for you. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=438516&pCatg=5512 I am not very good at following budgets but here is an idea for you! Bounce House-$172 Food for 40 people(grilling out)-$100-$125 That includes, hamburgers, hotdogs, buns, condiments, cake, icecream, sides(beans, coleslaw, salads..etc) and drinks.
Party supplies(invitations, ballons, tablecloths, streamers, etc)-$25-$50 Anywhere from $300 or more. I think that is a good range since you're investing in the bounce house! Happy Birthday to your daughter.
Yes, IMO that was over-the-top. We didn't have a real birthday party for our daughter until she was in preschool and had close friends to invite. So for the first 3 years her parties were just family -- half a dozen people, cake, conversation and pictures.
I don't remember what I spent, but certainly no more than $10-$15.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
