My spouse and I use... Quickbooks. It's easy to learn and set up, very "intuitive," fully-fledged program, with lots of bells and whistles if you need them--but can be operated on a very straightforward system as well. I've been working with it for 6 years now, and am very pleased with it.It's widely used, and many accountants advertise that they are "QuickBooks" savey--which helps a lot at tax time.

I use and prefer QuickBooks Pro for a five person business that does time time and billing with some hardware sales. For my business I've used Quickbooks for years. Not being an accounting wiz, it offers a reasonable price, fairly good ease of use and a fairly nice instructional and guidance functionality.

I haven't had to seek outside assistance, but I know there are enough consultants out there who know the product that help is available if necessary. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
