What’s a good free Windows XP application for basic photo editing?

All I need is something to adjust brightness, contrast, cropping, annotation, possibly color temperature, and so on. I don’t want anything even remotely as powerful or complex as Adobe Photoshop, even if it’s free. Picasa Its easy to use, its free, its from google. I have really enjoyed using Picasa since it came out and the second edition is even easier. It goes a good job of automatically fixing color and contrast and if you want more control it has some very easy manual controls.

There are also plugins to upload images easily to Flickr or Picasa will give you free space too which is a good secondary backup plan. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I highly recommend using FastStone Image I highly recommend using FastStone Image. This is a free program that is one of the highest rated programs out. It is supper easy to use, and has all the photo effects you could want.

Best of all, it is free. I think this is one of the absolute best free image editing Software out. Give it a go.

Here are a couple Picasa and Irfanview are both simple and free viewer/editors. Sources: picasa.google.com/ irfanview.com/ .

IrfanView, PSP8 IrfanView is a really good program. It may not do everything you want it to though. Check it out: irfanview.com/ You could also get a 30 day trial of Paint Shop Pro, which is excellent (in my opinion, much better than PhotoShop, but don't go above version 8 with Paint Shop Pro, the company, Jasc, gave up control of the software and the newer versions are very bad compared to version 8 and earlier): cws.internet.com/file/11598.htm .

There are a few around the internet... There are many free photo editors around the ’net. One is the VCW VicMan Photo Editor. It is free and works very well.

Another is Ultimate Paint available for free on the website designated in the above link. To find more, just type something like "photo editor" into a search engine.

I've been having trouble with my photo editing software.

Does windows xp have a free antivirus you can tturn off.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
