Eventually, yes. Partisanship aside, the decision in the "Citizens United" case was made largely on the basis of an overemphasis on the principle that how one spends money in the political arena is a form of protected speec. And as far as that goes, the argument has merit.

But the CU decision does not serve the larger purpose of strengthening the freedom and integrity of the political process -- everyone knows that. Fortunately, there are some strong arguments that can be used to challenge it. I won't try to go into detail (it's 4AM and I'm not writing a graduate school paper).

One way or another, the counter-arguments rest on a basic principle the Court has relied on time and again: compelling public interest. Briefly, it goes like this: at times, rights come into conflict (such as the right of a parent to raise a child as he sees fit versus society's interest in insurng the child gets a decent education). Another example is the current flap about gay marriage and Kim Davis, where the righs of gays are seen as conflicting with Ms.

Davis' religious freedom. This principle of compelling public interest amounts to finding a workable balance between conflicting or competing rights. I believe, whatever the specifics fo a future challenge may be, a successful challenge to CU will be grounded in that principle.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
