Just about anything by James Ellroy. I particularly enjoyed the Underworld USA Trilogy of American Tabloid (1995), The Cold Six Thousand (2001) & Blood's a Rover (2009) - innovative and compelling writing.L.A. Confidential (1990) is the best of the book-to-film Ellroy's (despite the changes).
I'll start - I love The gh Window by Raymond Chandler. In fact, I love all Raymond Chandler's books as he was the inspiration for mine. I haven't seen many noir films though, hence the question, so would love some reccommendations :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
