If you exchange it at a travel agents they add a fee on ( without telling you ) to guarantee that they will take back any unused currency from you after you return from your holiday. I, for one, don't need this service as I use Euros on holiday and always keep any left over for the next time I go abroad so if this also applies to you then make sure you ask if there are any fees added on that they haven't told you about.
