Minibosses The minibosses do rock n' roll remakes of old video game music. Their MegaMan 2 is a must-have. If you're talking about more recent games that have original compositions for their music, I know that Megadeth did a good job on the Gears of War theme song.
The have an mp3 of it up at megadeth.com. Sources: minibosses.com/ .
Super Smash Bros. Melee My personal favorite is Super Smash Bros. Melee for Nintendo Gamecube.
I'm probably a bit biased because it's my favorite game, but I love being able to put it on and follow the melody. I would probably not give it a second thought if I didn't know it from the game, but it is very beautiful and distinctive. I do not usually listen to orchestral music, so it is possible that it is nothing special, but I would very surprised if that were the case.
The recording I have was a limited release performed live by the New Japanese Philharmonic Orchestra. The album is called "Super Smash Bros. Melee: Smashing... Live!"
If you're interested, you might be able to pick up a copy on eBay or Amazon.
Don't know exactly where you were heading with this question, but since you are concerned with video game music beyond the generic, I think you should take a listen to the Minibosses, a videogame music rock coverband! They were featured on NPR a year or so ago and caught my interest. I'd love to go to a concert to fulfill closet nerdy rock desires!

Does anyone remember the old x-games video game for PS1 that included rollerblading, skateboarding, bicycling, and.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
