What's the chance that a first time order from a first time amazon user will get lost? So much for xmas delivery :(?

So much for xmas delivery :( Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it was resolved. What I ordered was part of a Christmas gift for my daughter and it now looks like I may not get it in time since I have to keep contacting the merchant or wait 3 days to file a complaint. My order is 7-days past the estimated delivery -- I think the postal service is worse off than they claim.

They are probably swamped! But my local post office told me they couldn't find it and told me to contact the seller and have them re-ship it. Lol, I contacted them and told them the post office lost it and they responded by telling me it should be at the post office.

I was so upset and emailed them again and again requested they reship it and please not to tell me it should be at the post office when I already informed them it was not. Finally, I got another response from the seller a little while ago and they apologized and are re-shipping it. YAY.
