Tribe A lets the women fend for themselves. Tribe B protects the women. Both tribes experience the same really bad hurricane.
Tribe A loses 90% of it's women. Tribe B loses 90% of it's men (because they were protecting the women first). Twenty years later Tribe A and Tribe B go to war.
Which tribe wins (keeping in mind that men are stronger, faster and more durable)? Which genetic predisposition gets passed on?
Yes. Women (especially young ones) have always been preferred over men because everyone knows they might be pregnant. That's why no women were killed in WWI and why women never worked in coal mines.
The bias still exists in society today.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
