What's the difference between a marketing consultant and a marketing representative?

Many times the titles marketing representative and marketing consultant are used interchangeably but in reality they should not be as they are considered two totally different job positions. A marketing representative could be defined as someone who works for someone else in sales. Sales representative might be a more descriptive title and true to form.

They are the ones who try to sell an individual a product or service. They work for someone else. A marketing consultant on the other hand is someone who will work with an individual to help them with the marketing plan for their business.

They will ask questions about the goals, plans, and niche of a business to help in the process. Marketing consultants work for the business they are helping. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
