It's not so much what differentiates anime from hentai; anime after all is specifically an art style or way of drawing figures, not a specific genre like hentai. Anime can like Western animation be used in any genre ranging from children's films to serious dramas. Anime (or Japanese animation) can tell a story just as well as a Western animated film or a live action film.
But in general conversation Anime also refers to Japanese animated films and shows that are made for general audiences. Hentai is basically the live action film equivalent of pornography. The same drawn elements found in Anime: body proportions, over exaggerated eyes, and tendency for over stylized facial expressions apply in a hentai but have overt sexual themes ranging in explicitness.
Hentai is usually reserved for adult audiences only and may or may not have plot, just like in live action pornography.
Animation is just a broad term for adding some sort of movement to a two dimensional work. It includes both hand drawn and computer animated art and has no specific style or theme. Anime, on the other hand, is a popular type of animation from Japan that you tend to see mostly as comic books, television shows, or movies (or commonly all three), although in Japan they’re used for more things such as for generic advertisements.
Anime is characterized by exaggerated facial features, especially the eyes, and overly “cute†representations of female or young characters. Although western cartoons are generally considered to be for children, anime encompasses as wide of a range of topics as any other form of media and can often deal with a variety of topics from fantasy genres to sci-fi or even realistic adult themes.
Anime is what we all know as cartoons. Anime are Japanese-made cartoons which story ranges from romcom (romantic comedy) to action-types to super power packed characters. Manga on the other hand is similar to comics.
Difference though is that most manga isn't as colorful as the western comics like the once being made by Marvel, DC, etc. Usually, when a manga became a hit, they will create an anime version. There are lots of manga turned anime so far and some favorites I have are Naruto (anime nuts like me sure know this one quite well) and Inu-yasha (just this year, they also finished the anime version since the manga already ended on 2008). I kind of like Kaicho wa Maid Sama too although the manga is still running.
The anime version season one just ended about 2 months ago and will probably continue soon. :).
In the Western world, anime is typically animated Japanese cartoons, and manga is still images (pictures, books).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
