What's the difference between designing web pages in GIMP and in Photoshop?

Having used both photoshop and gimp, I would say that the difference is simply on the method. Photoshop's toolbox settings make it easier - and since I'm more used to it - to create pages and whatnot. It also has the slice tool displayed in the toolbox - unlike GIMP's slice tool where you have to click more than once to find it.

Personally, I think GIMP's method in converting images into web design is a lot more complex - you have to (at least) save your image map into another file, and then save the main image as html.. and so on and so forth. While in photoshop, all you need to do is make them slices, generate html, and you'll have your html page ready in no time. But when it comes down to the actual designing, I reckon it's just the matter of which application you're more used to.

;).

Absolutely, my designs are like my children. Clients pay for my design, so yes, they want to see me in the design. I try not to, but a personal style is bound to creep in.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
