Microsoft Office XP was the version of Office before Office 2003 and there are a number of differences. Office 2003 was the last version that used the old standard menus. MS Office 2007 and later uses the ribbon interface.
The Office Assistants (Clippy and the rest) were simply disabled in Office XP, in later editions it isn't included at all. All the main features of Office are in the XP version but you will not be able to open the newer docx formats without the free compatibility pack - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...
Your XP probably is Office 2003 (mine was). Beginning with Office 2007 (maybe 2005 if there was one:-), the whole User Interface was changed. After the 2003 edition, all the functions are listed on tabs.
You click on a tab to display actions. So, if I want to change the margins, I click on the Page Layout tab, look in the Page SetUp section then click on Margins for the options. Changing from a menu-based Word to a ribbon-based Word was confusing.
If you know how to use the older edition and it works on your computer, I'd recommend using it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
