Almost nothing. You're getting a newer generation of equipment, but that's about it. That doesn't mean it's not a good investment, because the early original Rock Band equipment is largely garbage.
EA shipped a lot of game controllers that were highly defective, including drum kits with bass drum pedals that continually break. The Rock Band 2 kit includes the newest-generation Rock Band guitar controller, which is wireless. The drum kit is also wireless, has quiter, more springy drum pads, and includes the ability to add cymbal expansion kits.
These are two-pad additions that attach to the top of the kit and take the place of two of the drum pads already on the kit. So basically you're getting properly made equipment that's less likely to break, and not rushed to the market. But if you don't like the Rock Band guitar controller from the first time around, you won't like the new one.
And if you don't intend to nab a new cymbal set, you probably don't need a new drum kit either.
Both the guitar and drum kits are made a little better so they're less likely to break on you. The drums have the most marked improvements. The foot pedal is made of metal rather than plastic.
The drums themselves are also made of rubber rather than plastic, so they're a bit quieter. They are also velocity sensitive, so the game registers how loud you drum hit should be based on how hard you actually hit the drum.
The metal kick pedal makes a huge difference. With my Rock Band 1 drums, I eventually got to the point where I'd played so much that the pedal snapped in two from so much kicking. No such worry with the RB2 drums.
Invest in Rock Band 2, it's worth it for the improved hardware.
Rock Band 1 band kit = Everything is wired Rock Band 2 band kit = Everything is wireless except for the mic. In addition, the Rock Band 2 kits also have slightly upgraded guitars and drums. The Guitar is a vast improvement over the Rock Band 1 guitar with a better feeling strum bar, quieter buttons, and a nice sunburst finish.
The drums are also much quieter, come with a metal reinforced kick pedal and have expansion ports in the back that allow you to plug cymbals into them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
