What's the lates news on the toxic spill in Hungary?

The Hungarian government has taken over the aluminium plant at the centre of a toxic spill event. Hungary's national disaster chief, Gyorgy Bakondi, is now in charge of the plant while its former director, Zoltan Bakonyi, has been arrested. Parliament has been told the October 4th ecological disaster was the result of human negligence.

Toxic material which had been leaking for months from the mine caused immense damage when a dam containing chemical sludge was fully ruptured in western Hungary. The rupture caused a flood of toxic waste that devastated two towns, killed eight people and wiped out all wildlife in the Marcal river. More than 100 people were injured, including 45 who remain hospitalised.

European Union environmental experts, in Hungary to assess the spill, have said they are not sure if the affected areas can be completely decontaminated. Meanwhile authorities have said the emergency dam being built to prevent a second toxic sludge spill is close to completion. The 600-metre-construction has been set up across the town of Kolantar after cracks appeared in the northern wall of the burst reservoir on the weekend.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
