Whats the name of a movie where people get trapped in a cave,they are infected by a mutant (fishmaybe) in this movie, I think scientists are exploring a cave, and they get trapped in, then as the movie goes on, the discover a new kind a creature (maybe in water) and the creature infects the people and they die. I only remember that one person who is infected helps the rest get out of the cave, and at the end, there are only 2 people who survive, and they meet up a few months later, hen you realize that one of them is the monster.... In works of fiction starring animals, mammals tend to be cast as the heroes while reptiles tend to be the Designated Villains, even if their species is totally innocuous in reality.

In extreme cases, this can start to look like the animal equivalent of Fantastic Racism. Mind you, this is not limited to animal fiction. Even in fiction where the world is entirely populated by humans or humanoids, the villains will be reptiles, reptiles with Applied Phlebotinum to make them more frightening, or reptile-evolved or reptile-themed.

Snakes are especially popular in this department, and the Big Bad may have a whole snake obsession going on. He may even top things off by turning into a giant snake. The trope even turns up, if only by metaphor, in non-fiction; saying that someone is "a snake" or "cold blooded" (see below) is enough to get across that you're dealing with a nasty character.

This stereotype also gives a big boost in popularity for the mongoose, a cute furry fellow who seems to live to fight these embodiments of evil (contrast to real life, where a wild mongoose can be quite a mean little sucker capable of turning in its skin to bite anyone who picks it up). It's The Cave When I as a kid, there was no better place in Denver than Celebrity’s Sports Center. I was not an athletic adolescent -- I spent more time reading books in my bedroom than I did tossing around the pigskin or chasing skirt -- but luckily for me Celebrity’s Sports Center wasn’t that type of “sports” place. It was a bowling alley/arcade/indoor water slide extravaganza where even the most geeky, awkward child could feel as though he or she was a star.

What attracted me most to Celebrity’s was the waterslides. There were three: the Dolphin, the Shark, and the Barracuda. Despite its often being referred to as the “baby” slide, or the “slow” one, I most enjoyed the Dolphin.

Not because I was a lily-livered wuss, but because it was the one slide with rocky overhangs and waterfalls. For the two minutes that you drafted down the Dolphin you passed through a veritable equatorial jungle, replete with cascades, overhanging foliage and steep cliff faces -- all fake, of course. ) And being in that slide, spiraling down to the warm pool, I often imagined myself an explorer making his way to some subterranean kingdom inhabited by monstrous creatures and lovely damsels in distress.(They tore Celebrity’s down in the late ‘90s to make way for a Home Depot.

Have people no respect? )Watching The Cave I had that same feeling. The movie is like a multi-million dollar recreation of my boyhood fantasies on the Dolphin.

And despite the many lapses in logic, the ridiculous plot twists, and the sketchy characterizations, I found myself giddy while watching The Cave. The plot is as old as time itself (or so it seems these days), a bunch of people wind up somewhere where they don’t belong and start getting eaten by something bigger and badder than they are. It’s a hoary design, which has been done almost yearly since Scott’s Alien.

The Cave takes six spelunkers, led by two brothers (Cole Hauser and Eddie Cibrian), tosses in a hot Romanian babe, a bad-ass black dude, and some comic relief, and chucks them all into an unexplored cavern miles below the surface. Along the way we get mutant white moles with big teeth, some mutant white eels with big teeth, and some mutant white flying monstrosities with not only big teeth but also really long, prehensile claws. Director Bruce Hunt, who sharpened his own teeth as a second unit director on blockbusters like Dark City and The Matrix, knows how to generate claustrophobic tension and his incorporation of real underwater cave photography is superb.

The script by Michael Steinberg and Tegan West is ludicrous to the extreme, and goes way overboard with pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo that hobbles the story, but at least Hunt knows well enough to move the film around and not let it fester in these low points of absurdity. The Cave is first and foremost a monster movie, and the monsters are a decent lot, well-made and well shot. They are odd conglomerations of every monster that’s drooled across the big screen since the ‘70s.

And the cave setting is distinctive (though the film geek in me must mention Ciro Ippolito’s Alien 2, an Italian rip-off of Alien set in a cave). The cast is competent, and the cinematography by Ross emery is at times inspired. The Cave is a monster movie; you can’t walk in expecting American Beauty self-reflection or Star Wars grand opera.

But if you enjoy watching flying, bloodthirsty monsters chase people around dark places, you’ll get a kick from the film. It’s a thrill ride. Watching it, I felt like a 10 year old kid again, swooping my way down the Dolphin towards unknowable depths.

The Cave is a 2005 sci-fi/horror film, directed by Bruce Hunt. PlotThe film begins deep in the Carpathian mountains of Romania during the Cold War, where a group of Russian explorers are searching for an abandoned 13th century abbey. As they venture inside and below the church, they make a startling discovery: the abbey is built over the entrance to a giant subterranean cave system.

When they try to blast their way in, they cause a landslide that buries the abbey and the men are trapped in the cave below it. Then they hear strange pinging sounds coming from the darkness. They are never seen again.30 years later, a team of archeologists are conducting an excavation of the ruins of the same abbey and discover the cave system.

These scientists are Dr. Nicolai and his associate Katheryn Jannings. Local biologists believe the cave could contain an undiscovered ecosystem, so they hire a group of American spelunkers lead by Jack McAllister and his brother Tyler to help them investigate its unknown depths. Jack and Tyler are thrill-seeking professional cave explorers who run a world famous team of divers.

They arrive in Romania with the latest equipment, including a modified rebreather system allowing a diver to remain submerged for up to 24 hours. The diving team, which includes rock-climbing professional Charlie, first scout Briggs, sonar expert Strode, survival expert Top Buchanan, and cameraman Alex Kim. As they begin the expedition, they send Briggs to find the first advanced base camp, much to Tyler's displeasure as he is the best scout, but Jack thinks otherwise.

When they lose contact with Briggs, they all dive in to find him. When Strode wanders off, he is suddenly attacked by an unknown creature. When he is dragged away, his water scooter explodes and causes a cave-in.

Jack resolves that they must find another way out, Katheryn and Nicolai begin examining the bizarre biology in this cave, which they discover a strange parasite in all of the lifeforms they find. When Jack gets stuck in a shaft, he is suddenly attacked by the same kind of creature that killed Strode, but Jack manages to break free from its claws; still, he is slightly injured. All known cave creatures today are variations of outer-world creatures that have simply adapted for cave life over generations, but Katheryn believes this new parasite to be life that originated in the cave environment and never been exposed to the outside world.As the team heads deeper into the cave, they occasionally stumble across scattered equipment and remains of the previous explorers, and are unaware they are being stalked by the creatures.

THE CAVE was written by Michael Steinberg and Tegan West (who has lots of acting credits but just this one writing credit) and directed by Bruce Hunt (DARK CITY, THE MATRIX, THE MATRIX RELOADED, THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS). Note that all of Mr. Hunt's credits are for 2nd unit or 3rd unit director - this is his first time in the big chair. The story opens in the Carpathian Mountains.

These mountains run through what is now Romania but what used to be Transylvania. A group of determined looking men drive up a narrow mountain road to reach an ancient, abandoned church. Their guide leads them inside the ruin and when he points out a tomb he speaks the name, "Tsepes".

In case you're not a Horror Geek, "Tsepes" means "The Impaler". It was a nickname for a medieval member of Transylvanian nobility better known as Vlad Dracula, given to him because of his wacky habit of impaling people on huge stakes. The tomb leads down to a catacomb decorated with murals of winged monsters with big sharp teeth.An attempt to go deeper does not go well.

Jump ahead to modern day. A group of cave explorers and biologists find the cave opening beneath the ruins of the same church. They realize that much of the cave is underwater so they call in a group of cave divers.

The cave divers are lead by Jack (Cole Hauser: PITCH BLACK, PAPARAZZI), a no nonsense alpha male. S crew includes his brother Tyler (Eddie Cibrian), and his buddies Buchanan (Morris Chestnut: ANACONDAS: THE HUNT FOR THE BLOOD ORCHID), Briggs (Rick Ravanello: CREATURE TV), Strode (Kieran Darcy-Smith) and Charlie (Piper Perabo). At the cave they meet up with Dr. Nicolai (Marcel Iures: DRACULA THE IMPALER, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE) and his associates Kate (Lena Headey: RIPLEY'S GAME) and Alex (Daniel Dae Kim).

A lot of people, but this is a monster movie so you need plenty of meat for the grinder. They get into the cave and like all movie caves it's mysteriously brightly lit. But they get here quick which is both good and bad.

I hate movies with too much exposition but at the same time you need a little bit of time to decide if you like the characters enough to care what happens to them. A fine line, sometimes. This cave expedition doesn't go well either and the group finds themselves trapped.

They also find that the cave has a pretty diverse ecology, including some sizable and nasty animals. Since this is a biological survey mission they do have lots of scientific equipment. This leads to the discovery that much of the animal life in the cave is "infected" with a pretty amazing parasite.

And then they meet the monsters. That's not a spoiler - it's made plain in the trailer.In fact a lot of details that you'd think would count as spoilers can be found in the trailer, like the fact that the monsters they run into are actually the people from the previous expedition. You'd think they'd save that as a cool plot twist but whatever.

So now that you know what the monsters are and you know about the parasite, it's easy enough to put two and two together and get a! SCIENCE MOMENT! : I must admit that the parasite as the cause is mostly believable.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
