Stuck between a rock and a hard place is a very old saying. It means that you are facing two choices and neither of them is something you want to do, but you have no choice except to choose one or the other. An example would be if you get on the train and there are only two open seats...one is next to a crying baby with a stinky diaper and the other is next to a creepy guy that hasn't bathed in a week.
One foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel means that you are likely to die really soon, although many people might use it to mean their about to fail at something like a project or a school test.
If you are caught between a rock and a hard place, you are in a position where you have to choose between unpleasant alternatives, and your choice might cause you problems; you might not be able to satisfy everyone.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
