Possibly the cable from the motherboard to the screen is intermittent. If you have a connection for an external monitor, connect one and see if the screen on the alternate monitor still flickers. If it does, it is a more serious problem.
I had an old Sony Vaio, and the screen did all kinds of flashing and color changing, lines etc. The problem in that case was the BGA solder connection from the graphics chip to the motherboard came partially unsoldered. I had it resoldered for $200.00, but that lasted only 2 months, and it started acting up again. If the external monitor is OK, then it could just be the cable from the motherboard to the display, which is a cheap fix.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
