Mississippi Masala" is a fabulously funny glimpse into the lives of one family of Americanized ndus as they run a motel.
I love "Sholay. " It's an old movie but it has adventure, character, and a love which does not die. Its stars are classic greats of Bollywood: Amitabh Bachchan (his son is married to Aiswarya Rai), Jaya Bhaduri (Amitabh's wife), Dharmendra, and Hema Malini.
I've seen it a few times, and its power has never faded for me.
I also liked "The Namesake. " I don't know if it was true to the book, but as a film it was mesmerizing.
It is great to know about your interest in bollywood movies. I would like to recommend a few instead of one. I would recommend the movie 'Lagan' starring Aamir Khan and movie 'Paa' staring Amitabh Bachhan.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
