Nope. I figure they follow stuff because they want to see it, and so do I. I will look at there stuff but if it doesn't interest me, I don't follow it.
Shucks, I thought you were interested. A click is anonymous, a follower is not. I am always interested in who is interested in me and I will follow followers.
However, if a follower follows someone every 3 seconds, he cannot be reading my hubs, she may not even see my name. If I discover that person has followed 10 people in 30 seconds, I will not follow them. I like the fact that we are a community of writers and we read one anothers work.
Thats very important to me.
I don't automatically follow someone who is following me. But once I get a notice that they are following me, I go to their hubs and read a few. If they are interesting, well-written and on subjects matters I understand :-) I will then follow them.
I always return the following because I assume that if the person is interested in what I have to write, they must be writing within my area of interest as well. I read some of their material first, of course, but my choices have always been sound.
I suspect quite a few people do as you do. I have had people click to follow me and upon my looking at their "hub activity" I notice there are pages illustrating they're signing up to follow numerous people within a single hour or two. Clearly it says to me that they never read a single hub of mine.
They're "fake followers". Most likely they came across someone with a lot of followers and simply clicked on (all of them) to follow with hopes of getting a reciprocal effect. My goal on hubpages is to write "quality hubs" concerning my area of interest.
I have never set out to get a certain number of followers or write a certain number of hubs,I would never follow someone just because they are following me.
No I don't. If what they write is of no interest to me then I don't follow them. I follow a few people who don't follow me also so it's just how it is.
Yes, I would follow someone if they initially followed me. I think it's good protocol and if their views are very different than mine, I might be able to learn something or at least be aware of how others are thinking.
I would not say always, but often. I am always flattered to see when I have picked up a new follower. I am new and have not acquired many yet so it isn't hard for me to notice the follower, click on their profile, and check out some of their hubs.
Often I will notice that we have a common interest or background or experience and choose to follow. The follower always has some of their work read by me and I often make comments. I also choose to follow people whose work resonates with me that I discover hub hopping, many who I don't think have a clue who I am or what I have written about.
I just find their hubs interesting or entertaining, so I follow.
I generally do, but I do check out materials first. There have been a couple of people that I don't agree with at all who follow me just to get followed. But if you only write about being mad and how society is so bad or something that I don't completely agree with in the first place; I probably won't return the follow.
I do if I enjoy the person's hubs. I don't follow simply because they follow me. I suppose your way is good, though.
I didn't start hubbing yet, but I guess that the least thing I can doof course if the article does not contain anything inappropriate I guess.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
