The first serious RAF (British ) raid was an attempt to bomb the German navy at Wihelmshafen in December 1939. It was a disaster because Prime Minister Chamberlain had isssued strict orders that the RAF was not to bomb private property (!) Another early RAF raid was that of 25 August 1940 on Berlin, when about 50 Wellington bombers actually got through and bombed an astonished German capital in the mid evening. It didn't do much damage but it gave the Nazi regime the shrieking ab-dabs Joncey I don't want to erase the other answer, but if you count the beginning of WW2 being September 1st with the invasion of Poland.
Then the first bombing raid in Germany would be by a squadron of PZL 23's in a factory in Ohlau on the 2nd of September 1939.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
